CBD Oil for Dogs and Cats in India: A Practical Owner's Guide

Cover: CBD for dogs and cats - a paw print

Pet owners ask better questions than most customers, so this one is written accordingly. The short version: pets need a completely different product from humans, dosing is by body weight, and the person to consult is your veterinarian.

The rule that matters most

Never give a human cannabis-derived product to an animal. Not a smaller amount, not "just a drop." Most human products contain THC, and animals — dogs in particular — are considerably more sensitive to it than people are. Body weight is not the only difference.

A pet product should be zero THC. Happy Paws Drop is the only product in the Cannexia range formulated for animals: 100% pure CBD at 100 mg per mL, with no THC at all, and no additives, preservatives or residual solvents.

Dosing by body weight

Happy Paws Drop is dosed by size, not by species:

  • Under 10 kg — 3 to 4 drops once daily
  • 10 to 25 kg — 4 to 10 drops once daily
  • Over 25 kg — 10 or more drops once daily

Start at the bottom of your pet's band. As with humans, you find the level by approaching from below — and unlike humans, your pet cannot tell you how they feel, so err low and watch.

How to actually give it

Four routes, in rough order of how well they tend to go:

  1. Mixed into food. Easiest, and the product is tasteless, which is the point of it being tasteless.
  2. Onto a treat. Good for animals who inspect their food bowl suspiciously.
  3. Hand-to-lick. A few drops on your palm. Works well with dogs who like the ritual.
  4. Straight onto the tongue. Fastest, least popular with the cat.

It can also be added to water, though you lose control of how much they actually took, so food is usually better.

Talk to your vet, not to us

This is important and we would rather be clear than helpful-sounding. The free consultation included with every Cannexia order is a human-medicine consultation with an Ayurvedic doctor. It is not a veterinary consultation, and our doctors will not advise on your animal.

Speak to your veterinarian before starting, especially if your pet:

  • is on any medication
  • is pregnant or nursing
  • has a diagnosed health condition
  • is very young, very old, or recovering from surgery

Your vet knows the animal. Bring the bottle or the product details to the appointment so they can see exactly what it is — 100% CBD, 100 mg/mL, zero THC, in MCT oil.

What Happy Paws Drop is and isn't

It is a daily wellness supplement for dogs and cats. It is not a treatment for any veterinary condition, and we will not tell you it is. If something is wrong with your animal, the answer is a vet, not a supplement.

What we can tell you plainly is what is in the bottle: pure CBD extract retaining native terpenes and flavonoids, in MCT oil, at 100 mg/mL, with nothing else added. ₹1,999, with the same bundle tiers as the rest of the range — buy 2 for 10% off, 3 for 15%, 5 for 20%.

Practical notes

Start on a quiet day. Not the morning of a car journey or a vet visit. You want to see the ordinary baseline first.

Keep it out of their reach. Same as any supplement. Store it where a determined labrador cannot get to it.

Watch for the first few days, and stop if anything seems off. Then call your vet.

Be patient. As with the human range, consistency matters more than a large dose.

Questions about the product itself

Composition, potency and batch reports: support@cannexia.com or WhatsApp +91 7042295222, Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. We will send you the lab report for the batch you received — which, for something you are giving an animal, is a reasonable thing to want.

Questions about your pet: your veterinarian.

For animal use only. Not for human consumption. General information, not veterinary advice.
