It's a fair question, and the honest answer is more useful than a confident one. Nobody selling you something should be trusted to tell you it definitely works. What we can do is set out what realistic expectations look like, why so many people conclude nothing happened, and how to run a fair test.
What we will and won't say
We will not tell you a Cannexia product treats, cures or prevents anything. That is not modesty — wellness products in India are not permitted to make disease claims, and any brand telling you otherwise is one to be careful of.
What we will say: individual response varies genuinely and substantially. Some people notice a clear difference. Some notice something subtle. Some notice nothing. Anyone promising you a guaranteed outcome is selling, not informing.
Why "is it placebo?" is a reasonable question
Because in wellness generally, some of it is. Expectation is a real effect and it does not make someone gullible for asking. The useful response is not to be offended by the question but to give you a way to test properly — which is the rest of this article.
The four reasons people conclude it did nothing
1. They took the wrong product for what they wanted
The most common one, by a distance. Still Drop is formulated for daytime calm without drowsiness — if you took it hoping to fall asleep, it did what it was designed to do and you concluded it failed. Dream Easy is a night product. Deep Relief is an evening product. Upboost Gummies are evening. Taking an evening product at 9 AM and judging it is not a test.
2. They re-dosed before the first serving arrived
Gummies take 45 to 90 minutes because they go through your digestive system. At the 45-minute mark, people decide nothing is happening. Then both servings land at once and the experience is nothing like intended. Wait the full window.
3. They expected an event
This is the subtle one. With CBD-dominant products particularly, the experience is often an absence rather than a presence — realising at 4 PM that you have not been wound up all afternoon. If you are waiting for a distinct sensation to confirm it is working, you may be scanning for the wrong thing entirely.
4. They weren't consistent
Several products in this category are built around regular use. Still Drop's own guidance is consistent use over 12 to 16 weeks. Taking something three times in a month and concluding it does nothing is not a fair test of a product designed for daily use.
How to actually test it fairly
- Use the consultation to pick the product. Free with every order, before dispatch. Most "it didn't work" stories are product-choice stories.
- Take the beginner serving, at the right time of day, for at least two weeks before forming a view.
- Write down one specific thing you want to change — "how long it takes me to fall asleep", "whether I am snapping at people by 6 PM". Vague expectations produce vague conclusions.
- Don't change three things at once. Starting a product, a new gym routine and a diet in the same week tells you nothing about any of them.
- Give it the stated window. Two weeks minimum, longer for products designed around consistency.
If it genuinely does nothing for you
Then stop. That is a legitimate outcome and we would rather say so than have you keep buying something that is not doing anything for you.
Before you conclude that, one call is worth making: speak to the doctor about whether the serving or the product was right. A CBD-dominant product at a beginner serving is a deliberately gentle starting point, and "nothing happened" sometimes means "nothing happened yet." But if you have run a fair test and it is not for you, it is not for you.
What is actually checkable
You cannot verify a feeling. You can verify these:
- Whether the product contains what the label says — ask for the lab report for your batch.
- Whether an actual registered practitioner spoke to you before dispatch.
- Whether the potency is stated in milligrams at all.
- Whether the brand makes claims it should not.
Those four are the difference between a product you can reason about and a bottle of hope. They are also, not coincidentally, the things the least trustworthy operators in this category skip.
